2. Information you give us

When you use our contact form or email us — for example to submit an event — we receive the details you choose to send: typically your name or event name, email address, the event address and a description. We use this information only to reply to you and, if you are submitting an event, to review and publish the listing. Messages are delivered to our email inbox; we do not use them for marketing and do not sell them.

Contact-form messages may be checked for spam by Akismet, a service provided by Automattic Inc.

3. Information collected automatically

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and what device and browser they use). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. We use this information in aggregate to improve the calendar.
  • Fonts and maps. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and event pages may show a Google Map of the venue. When these load, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and to maintain event listings. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Depending on where you live (for example in California or the European Economic Area), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. This website is intended for dental professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
